Although guests are welcome to request a specific room number, we are never able to guarantee a certain room in advance due to potential unforeseen guest or maintenance issues. Room numbers are assigned at the time of check-in and cannot be confirmed prior to arrival. If we are unable to accommodate a specifically requested room number and a guest wishes to cancel for that reason, s/he will be held to our cancellation policy.
Cancel your stay more than 48 hours in advance of check-in time (3pm) on the day of your arrival, otherwise, you will be charged full payment for one night plus tax. Cancellation policies may differ for special event packages or group rates. Cancellations can only be made by calling our reservations center at 1-800-966-6490 or by calling the hotel directly at 805-927-5888. We cannot accept cancellations made by email.
During the Cambria Christmas Market: Due to high seasonal demand, cancellations must be made more than 14 days before arrival (prior to our 3pm check-in) to avoid full charges. Beginning 13 days prior, the card on file will be charged in full. Reservations booked within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable and charged immediately. To cancel, please call 1-800-966-6490. Email cancellations cannot be accepted.
We are proud to offer a breakfast basket delivered right to your door each morning! The process begins when you choose your breakfast selections the night before. Then we’ll deliver your breakfast in a cute picnic basket each morning between 7:30 - 8:15am. Our baskets feature a choice of breakfast burritos (bacon or veggie) served with homemade salsa, a yogurt parfait or fresh baked pastries and a fruit cup. Drink options include coffee, orange juice or milk. Please note that there are no substitutions or special requests on breakfast items.
Guests that book direct with us through our website or by phone will enjoy a complimentary breakfast basket. Guests that book via a third party website can add a breakfast basket to their reservation for $ 10 per person.
The best place for a workout is right across the street from Sea Otter Inn. It’s the world-famous Moonstone Beach Boardwalk, which stretches from Santa Rosa Creek at the south end of Moonstone Beach Drive to Leffingwell Landing at the north end. You will not likely find a more beautiful place to get your heart pumping than this! Sea Otter Inn also features an outdoor heated swimming pool and spa.

Sea Otter Inn allows pets in select pet-friendly rooms. These accommodations must be reserved in advance by calling our reservations department directly at 800-966-6490. They cannot be booked online. There is a nightly pet fee of $35 for up to two well-behaved pets. Also, there are no breed or weight restrictions for dogs. Pets must never be left unattended in the guest room, even if they are crated. Dogs must be on a leash at all times when outside of the guest room.

Hearst Castle is about 6.5 miles (approximately ten minutes) north of Sea Otter Inn on Highway One.
We do not sell tickets for Hearst Castle. As the State of California runs Hearst Castle, we are unable to offer discounts. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hearstcastle.org.
There are seven wineries in Cambria and San Simeon. Check out the details at www.pacificcoastwinetrail.com. Also, there’s a fun wine tasting shop in Cambria called Fermentations. A couple of local wineries have tasting rooms on Main St as well. If you're up for a little drive, you can enjoy dozens of wineries and tasting rooms on Highway 46 within 30 minutes of Sea Otter Inn.
