CHRISTMAS IN JULY, that mid-year merriment, can assume many sparkly and festive forms: Your local cinema might screen a cocoa-scented classic from decades back or a neighborhood ice skating rink might encourage holiday wear for a discounted entry, though there are many ways to honor the occasion. Sometimes, if we've been extra good and Santa knows it, some of the biggest end-of-the-year events will pop up in summertime, all to spread cheer, peppermint-y wishes, and, oh yes, some savings. One of California's best-known sparklers, the Cambria Christmas Market, has been adding shimmer to the Central Coast town for 15 years now. New goodies at the German-themed marketplace and delightful diversions are added to the walk-around wonderland regularly, but there has never before been a sale in July. That is, of course, before now: The limited-time happening just launched, with discounts on hotel and ticket packages, as well as tickets on select dates for the 2026 market.
